On Friday, 30 January, our partner Sporting Borgomanero implemented a dissemination activity focused on the application of the project’s Good Practices, following the completion and publication of the REBOUND Project Manual.
The activity was delivered in a hybrid format, engaging young athletes, volunteers and coaches from local basketball clubs through on-site participation, while representatives of sports organisations from Carloforte (Sardinia) and Chiavenna joined remotely. This format enabled the exchange of experiences across different geographical contexts and reinforced cooperation among clubs operating in diverse local environments.
The dissemination activity demonstrated how sustainability and circular economy principles can be effectively integrated into everyday sports practices, regardless of geographical or organisational differences. Through basketball, Sporting Borgomanero highlighted the role of sport as an educational and community-driven tool capable of promoting shared values and responsible behaviour.
During the session, the club presented key elements of the REBOUND framework, with a particular focus on waste reduction, material reuse and responsible resource management. Participants were encouraged to reflect on how these Good Practices can be realistically adopted within grassroots and amateur basketball settings.
Funded by the Erasmus+ Sport Programme, the REBOUND project supports basketball organisations by providing practical tools and educational resources aimed at strengthening sustainability, environmental awareness and the social impact of sport.
This activity represents a concrete example of how REBOUND partners actively apply and disseminate project results at local level, contributing to the creation of more sustainable and responsible basketball organisations.
