On 2 December 2025, the project partner Federación Galega de Baloncesto organised the second Information and Training Seminar in Spain within the framework of the REBOUND Project.
The seminar brought together coaches and club staff from the Galician basketball community, aiming to further introduce the REBOUND project and its approach to circular economy and sustainability in sport.
The training was based on the REBOUND manual and included presentations and discussion on practical examples and good practices that can help basketball clubs reduce waste, extend the life cycle of equipment and organise more environmentally responsible activities and events.
An encouraging outcome of the seminar was that several of the practices presented in the REBOUND manual are already being considered or implemented by local clubs. This highlights that many basketball organisations in Galicia are already demonstrating strong awareness of circular economy principles and are actively exploring sustainable solutions within their activities.Through these seminars, the REBOUND partners aim to strengthen the capacity of sport organisations to adopt more sustainable and circular approaches, contributing to greener sport environments across Europe.
