The first seminar organised in Spain was implemented by the project partner Federación Galega de Baloncesto on 28 November 2025 in an online format, bringing together members of the federation’s technical staff.
The session served as an introductory training on the REBOUND project and its main objectives, while also presenting the basic concepts of circular economy and sustainability in sport. Participants were introduced to the project’s training materials and discussed how sustainability criteria can be integrated into the organisation of basketball activities and events, both within the federation and in cooperation with local clubs across Galicia.
The seminar also highlighted the importance of embedding circular economy principles into everyday sport management practices, encouraging organisations to adopt more environmentally responsible approaches when planning activities and sporting events.This first training session represents an important step towards preparing trainers and sport professionals to implement the REBOUND methodology and contribute to the promotion of sustainable and circular practices in basketball across Europe.
