On May 11, 2025, the REBOUND was presented at the 28th International Conference on Physical Education and Sports at the Olympic Museum of Thessaloniki.
Ioannis Tsiaras, Project Manager of REBOUND, delivered a presentation focused on the project’s core objectives: supporting basketball clubs in adopting circular economy practices, reducing their environmental impact, and promoting sustainability through education and innovation.
The presentation included examples of practical actions already implemented by project partners, such as:
- Reuse of uniforms and sports equipment
- Eco-conscious sporting events
- Educational activities involving athletes and local communities
- Social initiatives that connect sustainability with inclusion
The audience — composed of sport scientists, educators, and professionals — engaged in fruitful discussions on the role of sports in shaping sustainable societies.
REBOUND’s presence at this event strengthened its outreach to national networks and emphasized the importance of connecting grassroots sports with the European sustainability agenda.
